Tom's Talk: The Kingdom of God is Within You

After a few critical remarks concerning the word “kingdom”, I propose an Interfaith probing of “Kingdom” as a metaphor for the human heart and the heart of the Cosmos. There seems to be a dynamic affinity between the human heart and the cosmic soul. We might say we will explore “the within of it all.” Our lives have greater significance than we might think. What we might judge and perceive to be insignificant might be the very elements that bring wisdom to foolishness and virtue to injustice. The heart of the self is by its very nature a gift from the
cosmos for the sake of others and all the world.

Tom's Workshop: Energies of the Kingdom

This workshop will explore the “Energies of the Kingdom.” After identifying several of these energies, we will explore the implications of our probing for these troubled times. For example, one of the most important energies in the Kingdom of the Heart is forgiveness. What might it mean to be a reconciling person in our time? This workshop invites participants to discover the energies that can only be released from the depths of each individual’s heart, mind, and soul.
